Oscar Pool 2013! Or is it 2012? The movies are from 2012. I have no idea.

It’s Lara’s *mumblemumble*th Annual Oscar Pool time! Hurray!

I haven’t seen many of the movies this year (or, uh, any of them), but it’s FUN to play along on Oscar night. And there are PRIZES.

The Winner gets a $25 Cineplex gift card (out of towners, I will work with you to figure out a local theatre chain I can purchase a gift card from).

Loser #1 (aka, second place) gets a $10 movie gift card.

Loser #2 (third place) gets a box of microwave popcorn OR a $5 Amazon gift card, which you can use to buy popcorn with, or not. Your choice.

The day before (or the day of, depending), I’ll gather all the votes and send a link to a spreadsheet so everyone can play along at home.

Last year I think we had about five people, so the chances at a prize were pretty good. Also, I won. Which I’m allowed to do. Because I make the rules.

Go on – make your guesses. I guess every year. Sometimes I win, sometimes I don’t. I mostly don’t.

*edited to add: when I originally posted I hadn’t thought through the possibility of ties. If there is a two-way tie, both winners will get the prize. If there is a tie between more than two people, I’ll do a random, draw from a hat type thing for the prize. I’d love to give everyone a prize, but I’m not made of money, yo.

What day do you go home from PJs@TJs? Will you be in Arizona for the Oscars? I will. Viewing party?

I will still be there! I just put two and two together a few days ago – I had no idea I’d be away when they are on. Rachael and I are staying in a hotel that night and will definitely be having a viewing party. Popcorn and champagne! The more the merrier! See you soon!
