jodhpur to jaipur

Had the Best Toast in India for breakfast and sat on the patio with our tea for a while this morning.

me: oh look, Fig’s is in the Lonely Planet book. Hey, it says “Best Toast in India!”
mo: shuuuuuuuuuuuuuut UP!!! REALLY???
me: hahaha, that was too easy

As we were leaving Jodhpur, we stopped off at the shop where Jeff had done is mega-shopping the day before. I bought some gorgeous bed linens (can’t wait to have my own bedroom again!) and a couple of decorative boxes. Love them.

Today’s drive wasn’t quite as scenic but we did pass through some lovely places, including a long stretch on a completely tree lined road. The trees touched together at the top across the road, forming a bit of a big, green tree tunnel. So beautiful.

We stopped for tea along the way and met some of the worst starers we’ve come across yet. So blatant. So starting to annoy me.

We arrived in Jaipur in the evening and checked into our wonderful hotel. Loved it. Loved it. Here is a picture of my ceiling.

It’s the only picture of this lovely hotel I took. I’m an idiot sometimes.

We had dinner at this place called Indiana. The food was really good but it was kind of a touristy/gimmicky place with “Traditional Indian Dancing” where a belly dancer would drag up random customers and make them dance with her. Seemed like the kind of place you go with your parents on a family vacation and then are absolutely mortified when your dad has too many Kingfishers and gets right into the belly dancing.

My room was so clean and pretty and lovely, it was nice for a change to lounge around and not feel dirty.
