pushkar to udaipur

After breakfast at the hotel restaurant, we had tea in the gahhhhden, where we laughed ourselves silly listening to a man in his room coughing up a lung. COUGH COUGH COUGH GAAAAAAAAAAAAK HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORK, over and over again. So so gross and yet so so funny.

We headed back to the lake to get a better view and take a few pictures. There are ghats surrounding the little lake and one of them is where Gandhi’s ashes where spread after he died. (Ask Jeff to sing you his hit song “Gandhi Ghat”).

Also, snake charmers!

jeff: do I hear bagpipes? oh wait…

The drive from Pushkar to Udaipur was much like yesterday’s drive, in reverse. We started out in the desert and ended up back in greenery. More amazing things to feast the eyes upon while we drove. The drives so far have been about six to eight hours, but don’t seem it, as there is always so much to see.

We stopped for lunch in Helm’s Deep. Actually it was called something else “Deep” but Jeff named in Helm’s Deep and now I can’t remember the real name…

We arrived in Udaipur in the late afternoon and had a few Kingfisher up on the rooftop deck, which was lovely.

Our dinner at the hotel was great too. Tomorrow we will do some site seeing.
