delhi
This is my room:
I got trapped in here.
I was trying to unlock my door (from inside the room) with a big old skeleton key and it just wouldn’t work. The key was attached to one of those card-things that you put in the wall-thing to keep the lights on in the room. If the card is taken out of the reader (to use the key to unlock the door, FOR EXAMPLE), the lights go out after about 10 seconds.
I kept trying and trying to unlock the door quick quick quick…nope. I started getting panic-y. Trapped. TRAPPED. Ahhhhh. Ah. Ah. Ah.
Then I hear <knock knock>
me: WHO IS IT!? <ahhhhhhhh, pannnic…>
jeff: it’s me, open up
me: I can’t unlock the door, I’m trapped in here!
jeff: <knock knock knock knock knock knock>
me: stop it!! I’m trapped in here!
jeff: <knock knock knock knock knock knock knock knock knock>
hellllloooo hellllllooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
mo: <ding dong ding dong ding dong>
jeff: <knock knock knock knock knock>
me: STOPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
jeff: <knock knock knock knock knock>
mo: <ding dong ding dong ding dong>
jeff: <knock knock knock knock knock>
me: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I finally got them to realize I was TRAPPED and Jeff helped me figure out how to unlock the door. PHEW.
Then I started to cry. Because I’m a giant baby. Sometimes.
After I recovered my delicate sensitivities, we went to Connought Place, found a travel agent and booked a ten day tour, with a car and driver, to Pushkar, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Agra and Varanasi. We’ll be missing Jaisalmer, but it sounds like the best itinerary we could do in our time lines.
After more than a week in big Indian cities, we were very excited to be heading off into the beauty of Rajastan the next day, hurray.
